海の十二支、第四作は「海竜：フタバスズキリュウ」です。フタバスズキリュウは日本で初めて発見された中世代の首長竜です。造形作家村瀬材木による解釈は、深海を探査するダイバーとそのパートナーという設定です。フタバスズキリュウの優しい眼差しが印象的です。海中で優雅に泳ぐフタバスズキリュウと顔に手を当て一緒に深海に挑む宇宙服のようなコスチュームのダイバーの取り合わせはまるでダンスをしているような優雅さです。この作品はどの角度から見ても驚きと美しさが感じられる逸品となっています。

The fourth work in the Sea Zodiac series is “Sea Dragon: Futabasaurus.” Futabasaurus is the first Mesozoic plesiosaur discovered in Japan. Sculptor Zaimoku Murase's interpretation depicts it as a deep-sea diver and their partner. The gentle gaze of Futabasaurus is particularly striking. The pairing of the Futabasaurus swimming gracefully underwater and the diver in a spacesuit-like costume, hand to face as they brave the deep sea together, possesses an elegance reminiscent of dance. This masterpiece delivers surprise and beauty from every angle.
