これは「TEAMWORK」という言葉のスペルを分解して仕事に必要なエレメントを当てはめたアートボードになります。
この優れたデザインを見た時に「仕事」に必要なことを簡潔に見事にまとめてあり素晴らしいと感嘆しました。
実は私自身この「チームワーク」が苦手で、今までの職歴を辿ってみても「自分一人で完結できる、評価してもらえる」仕事を選んできた気がします。
それこそが自分に向いている仕事だと思い込んでいました。
でもそれは今思えば常に周りのサポートや理解があったからこそ出来たことばかりで、甚だ勘違いしていたなと恥ずかしく思います。
社会に生きていく以上、仕事でもプライベートでも周りの人との協働は不可欠です。その中で自分の個性や得意、好きを活かし自分らしく生きていける場所が必要だと考えています。
さて当社株式会社プレストは2009年に創業をいたしました。自動車部品メーカーに勤めていた経験を活かし人間の能力による品質検査専門の会社として
事業をスタートしました。高まる製造品質と人材育成が業界でも課題になっていた中、おかげさまで順調に業績を伸ばして参りました。
しかし時は流れ数々の経営的困難を目の当たりにし私自身「仕事をする意味」を見失いかけた時、明治期の文明開花を経済面で牽引した渋沢栄一の書、
「論語と算盤」に出会いました。
渋沢栄一は幕末期にヨーロッパに渡り、日本が近代国家になるために死に物狂いで人生を模索した一人です。前例がない事でも国のため、国民のためにやってみる、そして新しい仕組みを作り、皆が幸せに暮らすために国家や企業ができることを考える。その事だけに一生を捧げた人でした。
当社が一時期何をやってもうまくいかない、組織がバラバラな方向を向いている、社会情勢に振り回される。こんな状況の中、一筋の光としたのがこの「論語と算盤」という本でした。
「論語と算盤」の一節にこんな言葉があります。
どんな手段を使っても豊かになって地位を得られれば、それが成功だと信じている者すらいるが、わたしはこのような考え方を決して認めることができない。
素晴らしい人格をもとに正義を行い、正しい人生の道を歩み、その結果手にした地位でなければ、完全な成功とは言えないのだ。

会社というのは経済の一部であり、利益を出すことが最大の目的です。私自身それをプライオリティの最上位に掲げて会社運営をして参りました。しかしその手段が道理に反していたり、他者を貶めたり、騙したりして得たものでは正しい姿ではなくなってしまうと考えるようになり（勿論そんなことはしておりませんでしたが）、今一度自分の中の正義と照らし合わせ、自分自身がまず襟を正し、事業を継続していこうと考えるようになりました。そんな思いを経営理念に込めたつもりです。独りよがりの経営を慎み、他者も自分も幸せになれる仕事をしよう、道に迷いそうになった時いつもこの初心に戻る事にしています。
事業を経営するのに今は大変な時代です。でもこんな時代だからこそ「TEAMWORK」が改めて大切だと思っています。一人一人が能力を発揮でき、挑戦して成長する喜びを実感し、周りの人を支え、感謝し合う。そのいい循環を目指すことで会社が社会にも貢献できるような存在になれると信じています。「論語と算盤」の精神を忘れずにこれからも困難に立ち向かい成長していければと思います。

When I saw this excellent design, I was amazed at how it succinctly and brilliantly summarized what is necessary for "work.
In fact, I myself am not good at teamwork, and in my career history, I have always chosen jobs where I can complete tasks on my own and be appreciated by others.
I thought that was the kind of work I was suited for.
Looking back, however, I realize that I was only able to do this because I always had the support and understanding of those around me, and I am ashamed to say that I was extremely mistaken.
As long as we live in society, it is essential to cooperate with those around us, both at work and in our private lives. I believe that we need a place where we can make the most of our individuality, strengths, and likes, and live our lives in our own way.
Presto Inc. was established in 2009. We started our business as a company specializing in quality inspections by human ability, taking advantage of our experience working for an automotive parts manufacturer.
We started our business as a company specializing in quality inspection by human ability. Thanks to our customers, we have steadily increased our business performance while the industry was facing the issues of increasing manufacturing quality and human resource development.
However, as time went by and I faced numerous management difficulties, I almost lost sight of the meaning of work myself.
I came across a book by Eiichi Shibusawa, who drove the economic aspects of the flowering of civilization in the Meiji period, entitled "Argument and Arithmetic".
Eiichi Shibusawa was one of those who traveled to Europe at the end of the Edo period and worked hard to find a way to make Japan a modern nation. He was one of those people who tried to do what was unprecedented for the sake of the nation and its people, to create a new social system, and to think about what the nation and its companies could do to help everyone live happily. He was a person who devoted his life to just that.
For a period of time, no matter what we did, our company was not doing well, our organization was facing a disparate direction, and we were swept away by the social situation. Under these circumstances, a ray of light came from a this book.
In a passage from "Argument and Arithmetic" the following words are found.
There are even those who believe that if they can become rich and gain position by any means, they will be successful, but I cannot approve of such thinking.

One cannot say that one is completely successful unless one has done righteous deeds based on one's great character, followed the right path in life, and obtained a position as a result of that.
A company is part of the economy, and its main objective is to make a profit. I myself have been operating my company with this as my top priority. However, I have come to believe that if the means of doing so are contrary to reason, or if they are obtained by undermining or deceiving others, they will no longer be correct (although of course I never did such things). I have come to think that I would not be able to continue my business by disciplining myself in light of my own inner righteousness. I have put these thoughts into our management philosophy.Whenever I feel like I am going astray, I always go back to my original intention of refraining from self-indulgent management and doing work that makes both others and myself happy.
These are difficult times to run a business. But it is precisely in times like these that I believe "TEAMWORK" is once again important. Each one of us can demonstrate our abilities, experience the joy of challenge and growth, support those around us, and appreciate each other. I believe that by aiming for such a positive cycle, the company can become an entity that can also contribute to society. I hope that we can continue to face difficulties and grow without forgetting the spirit of "Argument and Arithmetic".
I hope that everyone involved in the company will be able to live happily and in their own way.
